SolTile - Creda's Electric Undertile Heating For The British Summer

As the evenings lengthen into early summer most people anticipate turning the heating off and enjoying the sun's warmth. Of course, we all know that it's often not like that in the UK. Some extra heating can be necessary well into summer, especially in rooms with tiled floors. However Creda Heating has an interesting solution with SolTile, its electric undertile heating system.

Conservatories, bathrooms and kitchens in particular, can benefit from gentle SolTile undertile heating right through those cooler spring and summer days, when a little extra warmth would be welcome. SolTile can also be used more widely by people who follow continental fashions and tile their halls and living rooms as well.

SolTile undertile heating gently dissipates warmth into any room where it is installed, giving an even, draught-free and comfortable warmth. Interestingly, independent tests have shown that if your feet are warm, the air temperature in the room can be a few degrees lower without affecting how you feel, with the advantage of lower fuel bills.

This means that it's possible to use SolTile heating alone in a conservatory for an early spring time lunch, for instance, with no other heating apart from a few early rays. SolTile is also ideal for bathrooms and kitchens, with the added benefit that radiators are eliminated, which releases valuable space in small rooms.

Easy to install, SolTile heating's capital cost is also affordably low. This is helped by the fact that SolTile heating mats do not need to be installed under such fixtures as baths, toilets and showers, and permanent items of furniture. A bathroom with a floor area of, for example, four square metres would only require half that amount of SolTile matting under its floor tiles.

As regards controls, Creda Heating's optional multi-controller allows for seven day programming of ‘on/off' times. This is a great way of ensuring that the bathroom, kitchen or conservatory is at its most comfortable when it is going to be used most. Meanwhile, lower set-back temperatures keep the chill off at other times.
